Pins of Interest

After last weeks Pinterest post, I decided to keep it going and perhaps make it a weekly thing.  Yay or Nay?  Let me know and this might be the last or one of many similar posts in the future. 

Some beautiful inspiration for the week:

No. 1 ~ Blue & Gray Living ~ Love this color combo.  It's pretty toned down, but the pop of the sofa, graphic patterned pillows, and other small touches make the room.

No. 2 ~ Vintage Polaroid ~ Some day I'd love to own one of these; working or just for decor purposes, it doesn't matter.  I also love mail air look of the book, and the title reminds me of the Gene Kelly movie (An American in Paris if you didn't know).

No. 3 ~ Vintage Cans Used for Planting ~ For drainage purposes, these would probably need some holes on the bottom, but I love the personality of these cans.

No. 4 ~ Butter and Sauce ~ Mmm yummy! Typography has been more of my recent interests, and I cannot resist this typeface!

No. 5 ~ Paris City Map ~ Great pop of color and graphic print! These also come in other cities around the Europe too.

No. 6 ~ Bokeh Wheel ~ I may or may not have a huge obsession over ferris wheels, other fair rides, and carousels in photography...just maybe.

Mmmm Macaroons...

Oh and boyfriend has tipped me off that he might be with macaroons in hand when I see him next!  I am such a lucky girl, aren't I?  What a great thought to start my weekend off with :)

Ohio Pride

Today's new lust list category deals with my home state of Ohio.  I was born, raised, attended college (OSU if you couldn't tell by item #5 below), and have so many good memories here.  Although I love this state and being close to family and friends, I'll probably move someday soon for better job opportunities, and I've been looking for ways to keep a part of Ohio with me.  These items are just the ticket...

They have just recently added a Texas print too, so maybe Ohio could be next if I put in a nice little request?

All the Buildings in NY

Hello again!  I hope you all had a great weekend.
Anyway, enough teasing you with that picture from last Friday's post...

Do you recall that scene in (500) Days of Summer where Tom sketches his favorite part of NYC on Summer's hand?  Well if Tom was an actual person, I imagine he'd take on a project like this.  

An illustrator from Australia by the name of James Gulliver Hancock has created a project where he is attempting to draw all of the buildings in New York. How cool is that? Below are a few of my favorite pieces that he's created so far. His drawings range from one building to a whole block.  I love the colors he uses, though he does produce images without color that I enjoy as well.

This guy can definitely capture the life of a building.  If you'd like to see more of James' work and follow his progression in drawing all the buildings in NY, you can visit his blog.  Which one is your favorite?

Let's Get Graphic - the British Way

Well bloody bugger to you, you beastly bastard.

One of my new favorite quotes from the Oscar winning picture, The King's Speech.  I might have been a touch late on seeing the film, but it was well worth the wait.  It's amazing that such a film was going to earn a R rating just from a few extra choice f words before production cut them out.

Anyway, if you must know, I am obsessed over almost all things British.  I probably would have gotten around to this post eventually, but being as I just saw The King's Speech an all, I was inspired to do it sooner rather than later (and it most likely won't be the last time).  Let's get graphic the British way shall we...
