A Roman Holiday

Oh man, where have I been that I have not seen this new Roman Holiday poster?!

Above is the poster compared to one of the originals.  I quite like the new one better I must say.  Beautiful work done by TCM and just the pop of bright color that I needed today.

Sort of on the same topic, yet not...has anyone seen this movie?  I know I shouldn't be disappointed in the ending, but I always am every time.  I'm just a sucker for a happy ending I guess.  Oh well, perhaps I'll just watch Sabrina instead.  That's my favorite Audrey Hepburn movie anyway.

Tea for Two

What's a tea party without this song?

They just don't make them like that anymore...

A Big 5-0 and a Lovely Weekend Ahead

Today is hunky-man George Clooney's birthday.  The two-time Sexist Man Alive winner turns 50 today.
{via Vanity Fair}

Even at 50, he's every bit of sexy as he was years ago...Maybe it's his good looks, charming and funny personality, or how he uses his stardom to promote good causes around the world and serve as a United Nations Messenger of Peace; either way, there is just something about him.  I personally am attracted to his Old Hollywood allure.  He's the nephew of songstress and actress Rosemary Clooney, and he was the perfect choice for a new-age Sinatra in Ocean's Eleven.  He's the guy that all the men want to be in a boy's club with and that all the women lust after.
Here's to many more years of eye-candy and charm!

Happy Weekend,

Easter Parade

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as always.  This year I spent my holiday in a very low-key manner with just my immediate family, but we still ate some tasty grub and spent some quality time together.  We even popped in the movie Easter Parade for the occasion.
I've a BIG fan of old musicals, and at nearly 50 years old, Fred Astaire is still at the top of his game in this film.  I still can't get this song out of my head...
